These days we are coming across various facts of the iPhone getting slow. The commonly reported devices are 6, 6plus, 6s and 6s plus.
So is it really that they are getting slow or there is some another reason behind this let's check out.

According to the statement posted by Apple regarding this issue on 28th December 2017, they apologised for the slowing down of some of the iPhones.

In response to various users complains Apple said,

We initially thought this was due to a combination of two factors: a normal, temporary performance impact when upgrading the operating system as iPhone installs new software and updates apps, and minor bugs in the initial release which have since been fixed.

Apple responded to the questions of several users and gave us two reasons.

1. The Battery Issue:

Cause:- Rechargable Batteries used in smartphones are volatile and their capacity can fade over the age with use and exposure to the external environment.
For example, leaving the phone on charge for a long period of time or exposing it in a hot environment are the reasons behind the aging of the battery. Mostly these are due to the chemical aging of the Lithium-ion Batteries.

Solution:- In the lue of the situation Apple for their customer shut the prices of out of warranty iPhone devices to a lower value by almost giving a discount of 50$.
You can get your iPhone's battery replaced at the Apple customer service centre's (Locate it on apple.com) or else you can visit https://support.apple.com

2. Software Updates:-

Apple has always strived to give regular updates to their users and always achieved customer satisfaction. Due to several updates the old iPhones are getting slow which is experienced in the form of force shutdown, unable to open any app and delay in some apps. This is done because to patch the drawback of the old batteries and this is done by reducing the clock speed so as to matchup the system animations and provide a greater battery life.
