Xiaomi unveiled its
Smartwatch this Tuesday. It was launched in China for a price of CNY
1,299 (Rs.13000).
The watch will be
available in Black and Silver variants. There are also Grey and Blue
variants.
It sports a touchscreen, a rotating crown and a button, a microphone and speaker
for user interface.
It has quite a lot
of features under its hood, first of all a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear
3100 SoC, a 1.78 inch AMOLED Display (Resolution of 368 by 448
pixels).
It has dual-SIM support via eSIM (Embedded SIM card, you
have to switch a number to it for the SIM to work). It has WiFi,
Bluetooth and NFC connectivity.
The on-board battery has 570mAh capacity that Xiaomi claims will last 36 hours on a single charge.

It has its own version of MIUI which has been tailored to wearable devices. It is compatible with both Android and iOS devices. It has its own app store, support for custom watch faces, support for downloadable apps and a watch face store. Xiaomi has included its own voice assistant in this device.
The watch tracks Sleep, Stress, Body Energy tracking and 10 Professional Sport modes. It has a Heart Rate Sensor to track your heart rate, Barometer to check the atmospheric pressure and a Compass. Inbuilt GPS allows you to not depend on your phone’s GPS to track your exercise runs.
The six axis sensor (A combination of an accelerometer and a gyroscope) makes the exercise measurements more accurate.
Currently it is only
available in China. Global launch date or date of launch in India is
yet unknown.
